Thanks for visiting.

I’m Sarah, a graphic designer from Sacramento, CA. A little bit about me:

I’m originally from Woodland, CA, and after high school I attended Pepperdine University, where I earned bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Public Relations in 2005. After Pepperdine, I moved to New York to attend Syracuse University, where I earned a Master of Arts in Arts Journalism.

During college, I spent three really fun summers as an assistant in the marketing department at Broadway at Music Circus, helping to put on more than 20 musicals (and also meeting my husband!). I also learned more about art and design as a student assistant at the Pepperdine Center for the Arts (the on-campus art museum and performing arts venue), and later interning at Syracuse Stage in their marketing department.

Shortly after completing my master’s, I returned to the Sacramento area and began working for Nugget Markets as a graphic designer. While at Nugget, I worked with the marketing team on lots of different projects, and I got to create publications, advertising, signage, banners, product packaging, and internal communication pieces. I also put my journalism degree to use, writing and editing marketing materials and online content.

For the past 10 years, I’ve pursued a career as a freelance graphic designer, writer and editor. I also enjoy doing other creative things: arranging flowers, decorating my house, hunting for vintage junk treasures, and amassing a pretty impressive collection of wrapping paper.

Today, I live in Sacramento’s Land Park neighborhood with my husband and son. I would be happy to help with any creative design needs you might have, so please don’t hesitate to reach out!
